Subscription Update Obituary

   Philip LeMarbre, 82, of Marlborough, died Tue., April 29, 2008 at UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital. Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Dr. Albert and Yvonne (Audette) LeMarbre, and the husband of Shirley (Huntoon) LeMarbre, of Marlborough.

   Following his graduation from Marlborough High in 1943, he attended the US Maritime Academy, graduating in 1945. He served in the US Navy during Korean conflict.

   He had been employed by General Dynamics Corp for several yrs. before joining the US Dept of Labor as a Safety Compliance Officer for OSHA, from which he retired in 1982.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons; Blane of Millis, Darrell and his wife Sharon, of Hopkinton, and Dana and his wife Maureen, of Lunenburg, his daughters; Michelle LeMarbre of Manchester NH and Pamela McDonough, of Candia, NH, his sister; Rose Marie Cook, of Seattle, WA, his grandchildren; Kristin Bazinet, Jonathan LeMarbre, Shaun LeMarbre, Renee LeMarbre, Marc LeMarbre, Bart McDonough, Ian LeMarbre, Beau LeMarbre and Duncan LeMarbre, and his great grandchildren; Zachary Bazinet and Benjamin LeMarbre. He was also the brother of the late Albert LeMarbre, Jr, Richard LeMarbre, Odette Gross and Yvonne LeMarbre.

   A funeral mass will be celebrated on Mon May 5 at 9:00 am in the Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Paxton Memorial Park, Richards Ave., Paxton. Visiting hrs. will be held on Sun, May 4, from 2-6 in the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Donations may be made to MetroWest Hospice, 85 Lincoln St., Framingham MA. 01702.
