Subscription Update Obituary

Pearl P. (Drake) Gehring, 78, of Oakham, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Landmark Hospital Woonsocket, RI after an illness. Her husband Frederick J. Gehring, Sr. died in 2000 and her son Philip B. Gehring died in 1993.

She is survived by her children: Frederick J. Gehring Jr, of Oakham, Brian S. Cofske of Oxford, Dolores R. Dobson of Charlton City, Debbie L. Butrym of Barre, Brenda J. Cofske of N. Brookfield, Nancy A. Lawrence of Plainfield, Robin L. Woloski of Woonsocket, RI, and Dorothy A. Metcalf of N. Brookfield; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was born in Auburn. She was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Eva (Banfill) Drake. She was educated in Auburn, Schools. She loved camping, playing cards, knitting and crocheting, and loved to travel and spend time with her family. Pearl also enjoyed the time she spent as a Nanny.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 5-8 PM Friday December 16, 2011 in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. Her funeral will be held Saturday December 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home, followed by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Association , 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311 or to the American Heart Association , 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
