Subscription Update Obituary

    Paul R. Laconto, 90, passed away, Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 in the St. Francis Home.

    His wife, Jane M. (Hoinoski) Laconto passed away in 1999. He leaves seven children, Mary Jane Mattfeld of Millbury, Paul M. Laconto of Harwich, Edward W. Laconto of Tucson, AZ, Donald J. Laconto of Henderson, NV, Ronald W. Laconto of Leicester and James J. Laconto of Sturbridge, and Katherine A. MacGray of Soutbridge; a brother, Albert Laconto of Worcester, fourteen, grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Charlton, son of Pasquale and Maria G. (Albanese) Laconto. He was an Army Veteran of WWII serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.

    Paul worked as a truck driver for Table Talk Baking Co. and then worked in the sterilization department at Astra Pharmaceuticals, before retiring. He was a member of the former, St. Catherine of Sweden Church, the Knights of Columbus and its 4th Degree Bishop O'Reilly Assembly.

    The funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 7 from LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. Worcester with a Mass at 10 AM in Sacred Heart-St.Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visting Hours are Thursday, Jan. 6, from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart-St.Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge St., Worcester 01610 or the Worcester Homeless Veterans Shelter, 69 Grove St., Worcester, 01605.
