Subscription Update Obituary

Paul Richard Dansereau Sr., 77, of West Boylston, passed away on October 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Born on January 21, 1948, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Paul was the beloved son of the late Leo and Edith (Lassas) Dansereau. Paul educated in Worcester, graduated from High School and then proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. Following his service, he worked for many years at National Envelope in Worcester, where he was known for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic, until his well-earned retirement.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carmella Dansereau, who passed away in 1992, and his second wife, Anne (Giacobbi) Kelley-Dansereau, who passed away in 2013. Paul and his first wife, Carmella, raised three children together — Paul Dansereau Jr., David Dansereau, and Michelle Dansereau. He was also a stepfather to Bob Kelley, Mike Kelley, and Christine Kelley, a proud grandfather, to Jasmine Dansereau, Nicholas Rondeau, and Nathan Dansereau, and step grandchildren, Noah Kelley, Elijah Kelley, and James Kelley; Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his many brothers and sisters, all of whom he cherished deeply.

Paul will be remembered for his love for his family, his loyalty to his friends, and his steady presence through every challenge. His laughter, stories, and unconditional love will be deeply missed.

A period of calling hours will be held Saturday, November 1st from 12 to 2 pm followed by his funeral service at 2 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Paul’s memory, 501 St Jude Way, Memphis, TN,a cause that reflects his generous and caring spirit. The family would like to thank James Murphy for his help, care, and support during this time, and to all who have shown love and compassion to Paul and his family.
