Subscription Update Obituary

     Paul J. McManus, 60, and Marianne (Heuer) McManus, 56, passed away Tues., July 24 in Alaska.
     Paul leaves three children, Paul J. McManus, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Charlton, Jody A. O'Brien and her husband Robert of Charlton and Kate F. Mercier and her husband Joseph of Spencer; a brother, Kevin J. McManus and his wife Rebecca of Charlton; a sister, Mary Quinlan and her husband Donald of Barre; his former wife, Sharon P. (Hickey) McManus of Charlton.
    
Marianne leaves, a brother, William F. Heuer III and his wife Loretta of Holliston; a step brother, John Ridler and his wife Rosemary of Worcester; a step-sister, Monica and her husband Frank Pyle of Allentown, NJ; a step-mother, Mary (Ferguson-Ridler) Heuer of Plantation, FL; nieces and nephews. Her sister Jeanne and brother-in-law William F. Eddy passed away the same day in Alaska. They both leave behind six beautiful grandchildren and one on the way and many nieces and nephews.
    
Paul was born in Worcester, son of Bernard J. and Barbara (Wrenn) McManus and graduated from St. Peter's High School. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and served 30 years in the Navy Reserve, retiring as a Chief. Paul was a Firefighter for the City of Worcester, serving at the Webster Square Station for many years, retiring in 2002. Marianne was born in Newburgh, NY daughter of William F. and Anastasia (Clausen) Heuer and graduated from St. Peter's High School. She worked for Monson Chemical Company.
    
Paul and Marianne were avid golfers and enjoyed playing at Pine Ridge Country Club, they were members of St. Joseph's Church in Leicester and the Leicester Food Pantry. Paul was a member of the Worcester Lodge of Elks.
    
The funeral will be held Wed., Aug. 1, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Tues., July 31, from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UMASS Walk to Cure Cancer-Ceilidgh's Crusaders, 55 Lake Ave. No. Worcester, 01655 or the Worcester Firefighters Memorial, 34 Glennie St., Worcester 01605 or the Leicester Food Pantry at St. Joseph's Church, 759 Main St. Leicester, MA 01524.
