Subscription Update Obituary

     Paul G. Braconnier, 78, formerly of 6 Lewis Street, died on Sunday, March 5, 2006, at 109 Uncatena Avenue, Worcester.

     He leaves his wife of 55 years, Beverly J. (Cole) Braconnier; two daughters, Diane Frechette-Hopkins of North Brookfield and Denise O’Loughlin of Sterling; two grandchildren, Toby Frechette of South Carolina and Aaron Frechette of North Brookfield; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Tessa Frechette.  Four brothers, Chester, Howard, Leo and Robert Braconnier, predeceased him.  He was born in Worcester, son of William J. and Evelyna (Desautels) Braconnier, and lived Rutland for many years before moving to Worcester a year ago.  He graduated Commerce High School in 1950.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving aboard the U.S.S. St. Paul in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.  

     Mr. Braconnier worked for State Mutual in Worcester for many years.  He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Veteran’s Association, Worcester Boys Club, the Sterling Sportsman’s Club, the U.S.S. St. Paul Association, and the Character Carvers of Central Mass.
