Subscription Update Obituary

Patricia Marr, 75, of Auburn died peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2011 at her home with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She leaves behind her two children, John Marr Jr. and his wife, Beth of Sturbridge; Christine Corey and her husband, John Corey of Auburn, as well as her two grandchildren, John Marr III of Sturbridge, and Sean O’Connor of Auburn. She also leaves behind her sister, Joy Bousquet of Rutland and her companion, John Scully, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Patricia is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, John Marr as well as her parents, a sister, Marjorie Hoyt, and many life long friends.

Patricia retired from a career at The Bank of America. Patricia dedicated her life to her friends and family. Patricia enjoyed the company of her husband during the many years spent traveling around the country together in their motor home, until they where unable, at which time they spent their winters in Venice, Florida.

Patricia was strong in her faith. The strong examples left by Patricia will be a challenge to follow. She will be dearly missed by all, including her many friends and neighbors.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which is to be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10AM in Saint Ann’s Church, 654 Main Street, North Oxford. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. Donations may be made to: UMass-Memorial Home Health/Hospice, UMass Memorial Development Office, 333 South Street, 4th Floor, Shrewsbury, MA, 01545. Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA is assisting Patricia’s family with arrangements.
