Subscription Update Obituary

Patricia A. (Cummings) Peter, 85, of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in her home. Her loving husband, Lazaras “George” Peter, predeceased her in January 2005.

Patricia is survived by her son, Paul S. Peter; a grandson, Josh Peter both of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Cummings and by a sister, Dorothy Gaudette. Born in Worcester, daughter of Earl F. and Mabel K. (Palmer) Cummings, she has lived in Worcester all her life.

She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and later worked as a Pharmacy Tech at the former Bergwall’s Pharmacy on Main Street, for over thirty years. She then worked for the Worcester School Department as a Teacher’s Aide, before she retired.

Patricia was devoted to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her happiest moments were the times spent surrounded by her family.

Calling hour will be held on Monday morning, October 31, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately for family at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.

Flowers may be sent or donations in her memory may be made to Children’s Friend, 21 Cedar Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
