After a long battle with cancer, Patricia A. (Noel) Naples, 79 of Worcester passed away, at home, on Monday, February 10, 2025. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones until the very end.
Patricia was born in Worcester to the late Arthur E. and Rita M. (Gaudere) Noel. Throughout her life she wore many hats. She worked as a lab technician at UMass Medical Center for 27 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and the Senior Ladies Bowling League. She volunteered at the Worcester Senior Center and attended both Worcester and Auburn Senior Centers where she loved to play Bingo and cards with her friends. She was a seasoned traveler and loved taking vacations with her family. But most of all, she was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend. She lived her life well, always with an open door and an open heart. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Patricia’s husband and high school sweetheart, Francis X. Naples, passed away in 1996. She is survived by four children, Francis X. Naples, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Spencer, Gina Marie Fleury and her husband Brian of Worcester, with whom she lived, Nicholas Naples and his partner Laura of Myrtle Beach, SC., and Andrew Naples of Worcester; a brother, David Noel and his wife Donna of Charlton; eight beloved grandchildren, Erin, Brian, Madeline, Nicholas, Jocelyne, Andiyooni, Andrew and Tiffany; four great grandchildren, Addison, Jayden, Ariella and Jaxon; many nieces and nephews, including Debra Swenson of Worcester. Besides her parents and husband, she is also predeceased by her brother, Ronald Noel.
Her family invites all her friends and loved ones to calling hours on Monday, February 17th from 9-11 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with departure immediately following from the funeral home to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd., Worcester where her life will be celebrated at 11:30 am. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Girls, Inc of Worcester, the Auburn Senior Center or the Worcester Senior Center.
