Olive A. (Vosburg) Foster, 93, died Friday, December 20, 2013. She had spent her last year making friends at Sterling Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Prior to that, she had been a beloved neighbor at 32 Montana Drive, Holden.

Olive leaves behind three sons, one daughter, and their families; Edward F. Foster of West Boylston, his wife Jenis, Olive’s grandchildren, Annette and James Foster; Donald E. Foster of Salem, NH, his wife Suzanne, Olive’s grandchildren, Chrystal and Shannon Briere; Ernest A. Foster of Keene, NH, his wife Susan, Olive’s grandchildren, Jennifer and Chrystal Silvestri; Ethel (Foster) Spencer of Valdosta, GA, her husband Herb, Olive’s grandchildren, Edward Nesome, and Aaron and Andrew Spencer. Olive also leaves several great grandchildren as well.

Daughter of Frank and Bertha (Smith) Vosburg, born in 1920, Olive lived life with a spring in her step and a smile for everyone she met. She loved to sing and didn’t retire from the First Congregational Church choir until she was 80 years of age. She loved walking around her neighborhood, playing her organ (“only the black keys”), her pet parakeets, and a good game of Scrabble. Olive left us with peace in her heart, knowing she was going to spend Christmas with the Lord.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014, from 9-10:30 AM immediately followed by a funeral service, at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. Burial will be at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Congregational Church, 26 Central Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
