Subscription Update Obituary

     Norman J. LaFlash, 61, of 1 Clapp St. died Thursday night in his home after a long illness.

     He leaves his wife, Patricia L. (Mackey) LaFlash; five sons, Army Specialist Thomas J. Laflash of Fort Bliss, Texas, Norman P. LaFlash of Auburn, Daniel L., Steven M. and Jeffrey A. LaFlash, all of Worcester; three daughters, Laurie A. and Ann M. LaFlash, both of Worcester, and Norma J. Laflash of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Richard, Robert and Ronald LaFlash, all of Worcester; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Whitinsville, son of Leo and Eva (Brown) LaFlash and lived here many years.

     Mr. LaFlash once worked at the former Mello’s Diner. He was then a foreman at the former General Wire Co., where he worked for 30 years. He retired in 1984. After that, he worked for five years at Cambridge Street Market. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

     The funeral will be held Monday from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow
