Subscription Update Obituary

     Norman E. St. John, 88, of Auburn died Friday at home in the comfort of his family. His loving bride of 61 years Elaine (Thibeault) St. John died in 2009, he is survived their 7 children; James St. John, and his wife Linda, Annette Stearns, Michele Caporelli and her husband Nicholas, Suzanne Lopez, Robert St. John, Denise and her husband Joseph Morin, Lisa St. John with whom he lived. He leaves 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Albert St. John, and a sister Louise (St. John) Naoum, and a son in law Paul Stearns.
     He was born in Worcester; he was the son of the late Albert and Clara (Lavallee) St. John. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade. Norman served his country as a member of the US Navy. As a WWII Veteran; he was humbly proud of that when countless people would thank him for his service.
     Mr. St. John worked for L. Farber & Co., as a machinist for over 42 years.
Norman was a skilled whittler; he enjoyed building jigsaw puzzles, he was an avid golfer, and bowler. He enjoyed trips to the casino, watching the Red Sox and playing cards with his buddies. A special thanks Dr. Wilfred Pitts who Dad couldn’t thank enough.
     There are no visiting hours. Following cremation, burial will be held on Saturday December 21, 2013 at 10AM in Worcester County Memorial Park.
     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choosing.
