Subscription Update Obituary

Norman A. Bouffard, 68, of 470 Hamilton Street, died Saturday, January 21, 2006, with his loving family surrounding him. He leaves his wife and best friend, Jeannine (St. Martin) Bouffard; a son, Norman R. Bouffard and his wife, Lynn of Kalispell, Montana; two daughters, Michele L. Yelmene and her husband, Elliot Parks of Del Mar, California, and Cheryl A. Fedorczuk and her husband, Jerry of Millbury; a brother, Henry Bouffard, and his wife, Susan of Norfolk, Virginia; two sisters, Rosemary Abrahms, and her husband, Eric of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Theresa Bell of Nevada; five grandchildren, Kagen and Garrett Yelmene, Brian, Erica, and Jennifer Fedorczuk, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was born in Marlborough, the son of L. Norman and Violette (DeLisle) Bouffard. He graduated from Saint Viator High School, he later graduated from Clark University with a degree in Chemistry. He then served in the United States Navy, aboard several ships during the Cuban Quarantine. Lieutenant Bouffard then served as Commanding Officer of the Naval Reserve Training Center, in Terre Haute, Indiana from 1968 to 1971.



Mr. Bouffard was a Chemist for J-VON Company in Leominster. He was a member of Saint Margaret Mary Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of Dudley Gendron American Legion Post 414, the Worcester County Cribbage League, and the Central Mass Horseshoe League. He enjoyed gardening, creating stained glass, and golf.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 24, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Margaret Mary Church, 75 Alvarado Avenue, Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held Monday, January 23, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

The family has requested that flowers be omitted, and donations in his memory may be made to Saint Margaret Mary Church Building Fund, 75 Alvarado Avenue, Worcester, MA 01604, or to VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608, or to The American Cancer Society, 350 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
