Subscription Update Obituary

Norma J. (Clemons) Glass of 11 Maranook Road died yesterday, May 14, in the University of Massachusetts Hospital after an illness.

She leaves her husband, James M. Glass, three daughters, Diane P. Arachy (wife of Charles S. Arachy, Jr.) and Linda H. Barbieri (wife of Robert M. Barbieri), both of Worcester, and Kathleen A. McGowan (wife of Nicholas McGowan) of Orlando, Florida; seven brothers, Harold and John Clemons, both of North Conway, New Hampshire; Ralph, Bruce, Gilman and James Clemons, all of Bartlett, New Hampshire, and Donald Clemons of Berlin, New Hampshire; two sisters, Pauline Gardner of Bartlett, New Hampshire, and Doris Dodd of Worcester; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; nephews and nieces.  Brothers, William and Edward Clemons, and sisters, Winona Page and Laura Chase, pre-deceased her.  Mr. and Mrs. Glass were married July 21, 1945.  She was born in Bartlett, New Hampshire, daughter of Elwin H. and Laura S. (Trecarten) Clemons, and was one of 14 children.  She lived here 48 years.

Mrs. Glass was a founding member of First Baptist Church in Shrewsbury, and attended Holden Chapel in Holden.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Holden Chapel, 279 Reservoir Street, Holden.  Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.  Calling hours at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden are 2 to 5 p.m. tomorrow.   The family requests that flowers be omitted.  Memorial contributions may be made instead to the American Cancer Society, 7 Oak Street, Worcester, 01609.
