Subscription Update Obituary

Mozella (Coleman) Hargrove, 76, of Worcester, passed Monday, March 19th 2012, in her home, after a long illness. She leaves her husband of 58 years, Lum J. Hargrove; two daughters, Glenda F. McShan and Jacqui Hargrove, both of Worcester; two grandsons, Torrence L. Hargrove and Terrell J. Hargrove McShan, both of Worcester; an adopted daughter, Sherriel Lewis of Worcester; four brothers, Ularc Prince of AL, Albert and Joseph Bunton, both of NJ, and Donald Bunton of DE; a sister, Mearlyne Simmons of NJ; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, John McShan; two brothers, William Prince and Arthur Bunton; a sister, Mamie Moore, and her step father, Joseph Bunton.
She was born in Coaling, AL, the daughter of Felix Coleman and Beatrice Williams and lived here for many years. Mrs. Hargrove graduated from Worcester State College and was a school teacher for the City of Worcester for many years, retiring in 1998. She was a longtime member of John Street Baptist Church and was a member of the Massachusetts Retired Teacher’s Association. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and teaching children.
The funeral is Monday, March 26th with a service at 10:30 A.M. in John Street Baptist Church, 43 John Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, March 25th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to JHC Hospice, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
