Subscription Update Obituary

     On Thursday, May 16th after 88 years of a blessed life, our mother, Mildred M. (Martunas) Kozak, went home to the Lord. Her husband of 46 years, Edward V. Kozak died in 1992. She leaves her children, Dennis E. Kozak and his wife, Lisa of Gainesville, FL, Lynda M. Hauck and her husband, David of Worcester and Kenneth E. Kozak and his wife, Susan of Charlton; a brother, John Martunas of Worcester; a sister, Dorothy LaPrade of Holden; four grandchildren, Sierra Anna Hauck, Eric Michael Kozak, Brian Mason Kozak and Christopher Miles Kozak and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.
     She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Marionas and Antoinette (Lucas) Martunas and graduated from the former High School of Commerce. Mildred was a crossing guard for the Worcester Police Department for 20 years. She also worked at GE Telechron for 10 years as an inspector and retired in 1994 from the Fair where she worked for 10 years as a supervisor. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, a former member of the Worcester Police Wives Association and a volunteer for the campfire girls.
     Her funeral is Monday, May 20th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. the day of funeral, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
