Michael T. Whittemore, 29, of Lake View Terrace, California, formerly of Worcester, a technical school student died Thursday, February 13, 1997, at home.

Mr. Whittemore leaves his mother, Diane P. (Glass) Arachy, and his stepfather, Charles S. Arachy, Jr.; two sisters, Jennifer and Rebecca Whittemore; his maternal grandfather, James M. Glass; his step-grandparents, Charles S. and Evelyn (Nordstrom) Arachy, all of Worcester; uncles, aunts and cousins; and a close friend, Abigail Montalvo of Lake View Terrace, California, with whom he lived.  He was born in Worcester and lived several years in Barre.  He then returned to Worcester before moving to Southern California in 1993.  He graduated from Quabbin Regional High School in Barre.  Mr. Whittemore was a student at Van Nuys (California) Technical School.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holden Chapel, 279 Reservoir Street, Holden.  Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.  Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity.
