Hi Pop. Hope you and Mom are doing well and smiling as you look down at us. Just wanted to say howdy and let you know I think of you every day. I was looking back when I stayed with you a few years ago, while I was dating Julia and I remember you asking me what I was waiting for, in my decision to marry her or not. I laugh now about that, because you were so right. She was then and remains the girl of my dreams and so I have to say thanks to you Dad for helping me see what I couldn't see then...that Julia was the one for me. We are blessed with Kristina, your beautiful granddaughter too. Every week we go down to the basement, to the play room, to watch cartoons and kiss the big picture we have of you on the wall. Kristina knows you by name as "grandpa" and she even scrunches her tiny little face up so you can barely see her nose...and she looks just like you. Sooo funny watching her grow every day. You would adore her just as we do I'm sure. Well, just passing thru and wanted to say hi and that I love you and miss you. Take good care of yourself and Mom. I just finished writing to her as well. Hi Dadio - Happy Father's Day! We celebrated Father's Day toasting to you early in the morning and taking a few pictures with Kristina, me and with you in the background. I love the picture Mike gave us of you with a glass of champagn in your hand, your bright red Hawaiian flowered shirt and that smile that just says who you are... What a great picture. We had a great time on my first Father's Day. It made me wonder how you felt on your first Father's Day. Sometimes I feel happy, excited, and yet overwhelmed at the responsibility; but then as quick as that thought enters into my mind, it quickly disipates and I'm back to reality with my beautiful family beside me or in my thoughts. I am really enjoying fatherhood, mostly because I had a good teacher - you. So on this, my first Father's Day, thank you ever so much for all the things you did, all the things you didn't do, cuz I think I have what it takes to be a good father and a loving husband in this, chapter 2 of my life. Hi Dadio - well it's been a whole year since your passing. Julia, Kristina and I toasted to you on March 16th and prayed that you are well and enjoying the after-life with Mom.
