Michael J. Simmons, 54, of Worcester died January 6, 2010 in Tewksbury Hospital, Tewksbury.
He was born in Worcester, a son of George S. Simmons, Jr., and Alice (Cesnickas) Simmons and was predeceased by his mother and his brother, George Simmons, III.
He leaves his father, George S. Simmons, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Margaret Simmons; a niece, Deborah Simmons, all of Worcester and his nephew, Steven Simmons of Wisconsin.
Michael graduated from St. Peter’s Central Catholic High School and E.C. P.I. Computer School. He enjoyed playing football while at St. Peter’s. Mr. Simmons worked at Mechanics Bank, MultiBank, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and The Village Locksmith.
After cremation a graveside service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 9:30 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions ma be made to the American Diabetes Association , 330 Congress St, 5th Floor, Boston, MA., 02210. There are no calling hours. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., is directing service arrangements.
