Subscription Update Obituary

     Michael J. Delaney, 57, of Fairmont, passed from this life Saturday, (September 29, 2012) in his home under Hospice care, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Marlborough, Mass. on October 13, 1954 a son of Pauline Dwyer Delaney of Hudson, Mass. and the late Francis Xavier Delaney.

     Mike worked as a meat cutter for over 40 years and for the last ten years was at Stop N’ Save. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and was a member of The Friends of Bill. He was also involved with the Foster Care Program for many, many years.

     He was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, enjoyed ballroom dancing and was a major history buff.

     Mr. Delaney leaves to cherish his memory, in addition to his Mother, his loving wife of ten years Ann Bellefeuille Delaney; his brother and sister-in-law Timothy and Joanne Delaney of Hudson, MA; his sister Kathryn Delaney of Hudson, MA; three daughters Renee Tribou of Winchendon, MA, Nicole Marshall of Gilberstville, PA, and Denise Delaney of London, United Kingdom; 3 step-daughters Anne Best of Charlton, MA, April Kendrick of East Brookfield, MA and Michaela Kendrick of Fairmont; three step-sons Darren Stec of Shelton, CT, Jonathan Stec of Attleboro, MA and Gregory Kendrick of New Bedford, MA; 12 grandchildren and a host of foster children.

     Michael’s family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to help with the foster care program, in his name to: Foster Care c/o Frey Home for Funerals, P.O. Box 895, Fairmont, WV 26555.

     In keeping with the wishes of Mr. Delaney his body will be cremated. A memorial Service will be held at The Babtist Temple, 410 Morgantown Ave., Fairmont, Tuesday at 10:00am with Rev. Holley Faulkner, MA, at a later date.
