Subscription Update Obituary

   Maurice E. Girouard, 69, of 552 Chandler St., a retired fireman, died Monday at home after an illness. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Theresa A. (Mikolajczyk) Girouard; three sons, Michael E. Girouard of Millbury, and twins, Stephen J. Girouard of Auburn and Russell L. Girouard of Rutland; two daughters, Dianne T. Tymon of Rutland and Donna M. Nelson of Worcester; a brother, Alfred Girouard of Port St. Lucie, Fla; a sister, Alice Janitis of Auburn; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

   He was born in Worcester, son of Hector and Eva (Gervais) Girouard, and was a Navy veteran. Mr. Girouard was a Worcester fireman for 23 years, retiring in 1985. He was also a carpenter. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church.

   The funeral will be held Friday from O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent, or memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 7 Oak St., Worcester, 01609.
