Subscription Update Obituary

    Maryann L. (Proko) Borjeson, 51, passed away tragically in a motorcycle accident Sunday, May 30, 2010.

    She leaves her loving husband, Richard H. Borjeson; her mother, Julie Proko Farquharson and her husband Robert of West Boylston; her sister, Dianne Silun and her husband Paul of Boylston; her brother, S. Edward Proko and his wife Beth of Worcester; her sister, Suzanne Borleis and her husband Daniel of Concord, North Carolina and her sister, Patricia Ryan of Holden. Maryann leaves her beloved nephew and nieces, twins Brandon and Brooke Borleis of Concord, N.C., Godchild, Mackenzie Ryan of Holden and Morgan and Delaney Proko of Worcester. She also leaves her husband's children and their families: Jeremy, Brittany and Kelsey Borjeson, plus many friends and extended family members. She was predeceased by her father George S. Proko.

    Maryann graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School and Becker Junior College.

    She had a long career as a travel agent, office manager, and was currently employed by T and T Travel based in Nebraska. Her expertise was valued by all.

    Maryann was truly a joy to all that knew her. Words cannot capture how special it was to have her in our lives. She was always the first to lend a hand, an ear or a smile to her family and friends. She loved entertaining, maintained an impeccable garden and enjoyed sunny days with her family at the beach. She traveled extensively with her husband Richie and also with her immediate family.

    Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., are Tuesday, June 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held Wednesday, June 9, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
