Subscription Update Obituary

Mary T. (Londergan) Casavant, 85, of Paxton, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in UMass Memorial Healthcare-University Campus, Worcester.

Her husband, of 33 years, Armand R. Casavant, died in 1990. Their son James Casavant died in 1978. Mary leaves two daughters, Anne M. Casavant-Chaney and her husband Hunter Chaney of Paxton and Mary Jane Casavant and her husband Barclay Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania; four grandsons, David Casavant, Colton Chaney and Paxton and Declan Fitzpatrick; two sisters, Elizabeth Provost of Holden and Gertrude Martin of Shrewsbury; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Joseph Jr. and Albert Londergan, predeceased her.

Mrs. Casavant was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph E. and Mary E. (McGuinn) Londergan. She graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester State College and Bridgewater State College and was a reading teacher at Chandler and Burncoat Junior High School in Worcester for twelve years.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, before leaving in procession to St. Columba Church, 10 Richards Avenue, Paxton, MA 01612, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Columba Church.
