Subscription Update Obituary

Mary M. (Shaylor) Emond-Forsman, 85, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2011 in Life Care Center of Auburn surrounded by her loving family.

Mary’s husband, Leo Emond passed away August 12, 1981. Her previous husband, Vincent Forsman passed away November of 1988. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Dalbec and her husband Dennis of Holden; two brothers, William A. Shaylor of Holden and Roger Shaylor of Worcester; a sister, Diane Prouty of Auburn; five grandsons and six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, William J. Hine and a sister, Eleanor Dubois.

Mary was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, a daughter of the late William A. and Eleanor L. (Mulvey) Shaylor. She later moved to Worcester and has lived here ever since. She worked as a Nurse Aide for St. Vincent Hospital for 16 years before retiring in 1978. She was a charter member the American Legion Post 341 and also a member of Elm Park Towers Association. She loved butterflies and to crochet.

A memorial service for Mary will be held on Friday, April 8th at 10:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
