Subscription Update Obituary

Mary Lou (McGauley) Warren, age 91, a resident of the Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence in Worcester, died Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the UMass-Memorial Medical Center.

Her husband of 52 years, Frank L. Warren, and her daughter Beth M. Graham passed away in 2009.
Mary Lou was born in Worcester, daughter of W. Leo and Gladys (Fleming) McGauley, and lived in Worcester all her life. She was a graduate of the former St. Stephen’s High School in Worcester.
She worked at the Worcester Public Library helping its patrons find books and information for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Entr’Actors cast of “Chamber Music” that won an amateur theater competition and performed at the Monte Carlo Opera House with Princess Grace in attendance. She traveled to Greece, Italy, France, Alaska with friends, and especially enjoyed vacations on Cape Cod with her husband Frank.

Mary Lou leaves two sons, Mark J. Warren of Worcester, and Dean J. Warren; a son-in-law Thomas A. Graham of Shrewsbury; three grandchildren, Montana, Harrison and Thomas; three sisters, Nancy L. Johnson of Worcester, Elizabeth H. Sarfaty of Malone, N.Y., and Patricia E. McGauley of Medford; nieces and nephews, her sister Jane M. Farrington died in 2023.
Burial at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will be private. There are no calling hours.
