Mary J. (LaPrade) Zamis, 94, of Dudley and Paxton and formerly of Worcester died in her home on Saturday, May 5th, 2012.
     Mary was married to Adam P. Zamis who died in 1980. She is survived by two sons, Donald A. Zamis and his wife Kathy of Charlton and Richard P. Zamis and his fiancée Lori of Worcester; two daughters; Jean M. Millette and her husband Peter of Paxton and Gale E. Binienda and her husband Paul of Dudley; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Zamis was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred O. and Mary Jane (Dufresne) LaPrade and is also predeceased by her siblings, Alfred LaPrade, Oliver LaPrade, Irene Richard, Corinne Finneran and Eva Whittlesey.
     Mary, along with her husband owned and operated for many years the Adam P. Zamis & Sons Wholesale Florist in Worcester, which is now owned and operated by her son.
     She was a member of Saint Peter’s Church in Worcester for 65 years and enjoyed many things in her life, especially playing bingo and traveling with her family.
     The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 10th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Saint Peter’s Church 931 Main St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 9th from 6 to 8 PM in the Funeral Home.
