Subscription Update Obituary

Mary J. (Shea) Quinn of Worcester, died peacefully Tuesday, July 3, 2012 surrounded by her family.
Her husband of 50 years, Joseph P. Quinn Sr., died in 1997.
She leaves a son, Joseph P. Quinn Jr. of Worcester, five daughters, Elizabeth A. Wallen, Mary Gabree, Marcia Booth, Sheila Quinn Kniskern, all of Worcester, and Jane Chace and her husband David of Falmouth, a sister, Elizabeth Fitzgerald and her husband Edward of Worcester, a sister-in-law, Pauline Shea of Falmouth, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. Her brother Daniel P. Shea predeceased her.
Mrs. Quinn was born in Worcester, daughter of Daniel P. and Jane (Reekie) Shea and lived in Worcester all her life.
She was a secretary in the offices of the Jamesbury Co. in Worcester for many years, before retiring.
The Quinn family is grateful to the staff of the Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and its hospice program for the skilled and compassionate care they provided to Mary.
There are calling hours Friday, July 6 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Nursing Center, 300 Barber Ave., Worcester 01606.
