Subscription Update Obituary

    Mary J. (Dixon) Howe, 70, of 19 Rankin Street, died Monday, November 9th in the Christopher House. Her husband of 22 years, John F. Howe, Sr., died in 1981. She leaves two sons: John F. Howe, Jr. and his wife Margaret “Peggy” of Dudley and Michael A. Howe of Worcester; two daughters: Karen M. Gultz and her husband William of Chandler, AZ and Kim A. McPherson and her husband David of Rutland; her brother, James Dixon of Titusville, FL; her sister, Kathleen A. “Kay” Cleary of Uxbridge; eight grandchildren: Philip, Megan, John III “Jack”, Chrisanne, Jaryd, Kirstey, Michelle and Michael; and several nephews and nieces. Her sister, Phyllis M. Dixon, predeceased her.

    Mrs. Howe was born in Worcester, the daughter of James M. and Mary M. (Rebokis) Howe. She attended the former High School of Commerce.

    Funeral services and burial are private. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Way, Worcester, MA 01605.
