Subscription Update Obituary

     Mary F. (Frydryk) Boronski, 98, died Monday, February 3, 2014 in Holy Trinity Skilled Nursing Facility, 300 Barber Ave. Her husband Michael Boronski died in 1984. She is survived by her daughters, Frances Boronski of Silver Springs, MD, Anne Burdett of Worcester, Dr. Jane June of Auburn, Mary Lou Kusz and Mary’s favorite son-in-law, Joseph of Paxton; thirteen grandchildren, Michael, Jeffrey and Christopher Boronski, Wendy Stevens, Lisa Hranek, Timothy Henrion, Ronald and Matthew Burdett, Benjamin June, Emily Kaufmann, Stephanie Mastropietro, James and Elizabeth Kusz; eighteen great grandchildren; a brother, John Frydryk of Worcester; daughter-in-law, Dolores Boronski of Walpole, ME and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son John Boronski, a daughter Patricia Kohler and three sisters, Stella Pulaski, Annie Zbylot and Edna Pytka. She was born in the Three Rivers section of Palmer, a daughter of Albert and Frances (Baran) Frydryk.

     As the first permanent female employee of the US Postal Service in Worcester, Mrs. Boronski worked as a Training Supervisor until retiring in 1984. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Mary was an avid Boston Red Sox and NE Patriots fan. Besides candlepin bowling and cross-stich she also enjoyed spending time at the Cape with her family.

     The funeral will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th St., 8th floor, NY, NY 10022 OR Abby’s House, 52 High St., Worcester, MA 01609.
