Subscription Update Obituary

     Mary (Nowicki) Carelli, 93, formerly of 3 Adams Street passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 with her family gathered beside her.
     Mary’s husband of 47 years, Charles P. Carelli passed away in 1987. She is survived by the family she loved so much, Charles R. Carelli and his wife Deana of West Boylston, Albert V. Carelli and his wife Susan of Millbury; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A sister, Anna Langone and a brother Albert Nowicki pre deceased her. She was born in Worcester a daughter of Louis and Elizabeth (Blaiskute) Nowicki and has lived here all her life.
      Mary along with her husband Charles owned and operated Carelli’s Market on Shrewsbury St. many years before retiring. Mary also volunteered her time with the former Scared Heart Academy.
     Mary was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmothers, whose life’s journey was focused on the well being of her family. She loved to cook for them and celebrated holidays with her entire family. They were her greatest joy.
      Mary’s funeral will be celebrated Thursday, August 30th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial next to her husband Charlie will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the funeral home before departing to church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church Restoration Fund, 24 Mulberry St., 01604.
