Subscription Update Obituary

     Mary Catherine (Bullens) Leahy, 83, of Auburn, died Tuesday in St. Vincent’s Hospital after an illness.

     Her husband, John Leahy, died in 1998.

     She is survived by her children: Russell Johnson of Webster and his wife Judith, Mary-Ann Byszek of N. Broookfield, Richard Lapoint and his wife Rachel of Pittsburg, NH, Barbara Donovan and her husband Robert of Columbia, NH; 17 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

     Her son, Robert E. Lapoint, predeceased her.

     She was born in Worcester; she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anne (Maxfield) Bullens. She was educated in Worcester schools.

     Mrs. Leahy was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and taking trips to Foxwoods, bur most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

     The family would like to thank Dr. Guilbert and his caring staff at St. V’s especially in the ER and 3 South for the loving and attentive care shown to Mary and her family.

     Her funeral service and burial plans will be held privately.
