Subscription Update Obituary

     Mary A. (Yurasha) Savage, 86, of 90 Auburn St., a waitress for many years, died Friday in Providence Care Center, Worcester. Her husband of 54 years, John F. Savage, died in 1996. She leaves a son, John A. Savage of Gloversville, N.Y.; a daughter, Catherine M. Schonbeck of Berkshire, N.Y.; four sisters, Helen Goodnow, Cecilia Pechie and Natalie Laplante, all of Auburn, and Agnes Dilloway in Michigan; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Starkus) Yurasha, and lived here more than 70 years.

     Mrs. Savage was a waitress at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton for many years before she retired. She previously worked at the Bancroft Hotel in Worcester. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.

      The funeral will be held Monday from Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford St. After cremation, burial! will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours.
