Subscription Update Obituary

    Mary A. (Lajeunesse) Mellen, 85, formerly of Orchard Hill Estates, died Sunday, November 29, 2009, at Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Holden. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Henry W. Mellen Jr. of Oxford who died in 2008; and her former husband, Henry L. Vincent of Worcester. She is survived by four children, Linda Stevens of Sutton, Henry Vincent of Webster, Thomas Vincent of Worcester, and David Vincent of Worcester; a brother, Joseph A. Lajeunesse Jr. of West Boylston; a sister, Doris J. Mattero of Worcester; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Rosemary Powers of Oregon, who died in 2008; and a sister, Florence Tellier of Worcester. She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary E. (Desmarais) Lajeunesse, and lived in Oxford, Warren, and Worcester, and Sutton. She enjoyed crocheting, music, dancing, and watching soap operas.

    A funeral will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, December 3, 2009, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
