Subscription Update Obituary

Mrs. Mary A. (Grasseschi) DiLiddo, 92, former of Esther St., passed away Saturday, October 29th, 2011 at St Vincent Medical Center.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Beverly Gahagan of Worcester, Patricia Tunney and her husband William J. of Long Island, NY; five grandchildren, William A. Tunney, Trish Tunney, John Gahagan, Jerry Gahagan Jr., and Toni Gahagan; a son-in-law, Jerry Gahagan Sr.; seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Fred, John and Daly Grasseschi, Eva Violante, and Phina Dacri.

She was born October 5, 1919 in Worcester, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Adolphus and Amelia (Parchini) Grasseschi. Loving wife to the late Tony DiLiddo who passed on April 17, 1998.

A lifelong resident, Mary was a homemaker for many years and also worked as a spinner at Fine Spinning in Worcester for over thirty-five years. Mary resided at St Francis Home, where she was President of Resident Council.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Mary was a selfless person, who took great joy in making others happy.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, November 2nd from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St., Worcester with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St Stephen’s Church in Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the Funeral Home, Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s memory to St Francis Home, C/O Activities Fund, 101 Plantation St. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Louis M. Fazio Jr. and Louis M. Fazio III.
