Martin J. Hastings, 60, of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in Broward Health Center North in Deerfield Beach, FL.

Martin James Hastings was born on June 28, 1965 son of the late Robert and Nancy (Courtney) Hastings and grew up in the Lincoln Street neighborhood. He graduated from Burncoat Senior High School class of 1983.

Before moving to Florida Marty worked several jobs over the years including at a car dealer for several years in the Worcester area. Once he moved to Florida for warmer weather and year-round golf he secured a position at a medical supply company in which he spent years moving medical equipment where it was needed. Most recently Marty spent many years as a salesman for a paper supply company serving many small businesses and restaurants.

Marty had many good friends from all different times in his life who have remained in his life. His good friends from his rugby team have brought many smiles and stories to Marty. Golf was another game that he loved to play, watch and talk about.

Marty was a very witty man and quite a story teller, when a conversation was being held in the presence of Marty there was always laughter and happiness involved. Marty always looked forward to the start of football season so he could watch and root for his Buffalo Bills to hopefully win their first super bowl.

He made many friends in Florida over the years and he spoke of them often. Marty loved the beach and found peace there. If you knew Marty, then you may already be missing his humor and stories. He will be missed by many as he was loved by many.

Marty was the youngest of six children and is survived by his siblings Carol Price, Kathy Chapman and her husband, Wayne, Maureen Hastings, Nancy Cotty and her husband, Jesse, and Thomas Hastings and his wife, Diane. He also leaves 10 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday November 25, 2025, from 5-7 in the Alfred Roy and Sons-Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward St. Worcester. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM. Burial will take privately at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton where he will be laid to rest with his mother.
