Martha F. (Farrell) Doran, 94 of Worcester passed away Saturday, April 26 in the Ichabod Washburn House.
Her husband of 52 years, George F. Doran died in 2002. She leaves many cousins and friends. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Peter T. and Martha E. (Clark) Farrell. She graduated from Worcester Normal School and received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Worcester State College.
Martha was a school teacher at Lakeview and Ludlow Street Schools in Worcester for many years, before retiring. She was a lifelong member of the Cathedral of St. Paul, where she was a lector and a member and past president of the Women’s Guild.
The Funeral will be held Thursday, May 1 from CALLAHAN AND FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in the Cathedral of St. Paul, 15 Chatham St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Wednesday, April 30 from 4:00 to 6:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cathedral of St. Paul, 38 High St., Worcester, 01609.
