Subscription Update Obituary

Marjorie G. (Hohler) Mercier, 92, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 in Care One of Millbury surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, Frank Mercier died in 1996. 

She leaves a sister, Phyllis J. Hohler; five nieces, Cheryl R. Norwood, Laureen M. Landgren and her partner Jay Polsky, Karen G. Osowski and her husband Bobby, Lisa S. Young and her husband Michael and Deborah Ayers and her husband Ted and several nephews; three step-children, Paula Rabidou, Frank Mercier and his wife Sherry and James Mercier and his wife, Anna; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Three siblings, Betty K. Chute, Bernice M. Hohler and Robert C. Hohler predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Robert H. and Ruth H. (Nielson) Hohler and graduated from Commerce High School. Marjorie was an administrative assistant at Heald Machine Company, before retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved to spend time with the pups that came to visit her, she especially adored her dog Muffin.

A Visiting Hour will be held Thursday, October 9, from 10 to 11am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am in Callahan Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
