Subscription Update Obituary

    Marjorie E Stevens (Keyes) born August 9, 1935 daughter of James and Anna Keyes, passed away May 19, 2010 after a long illness at Blaire House in Worcester.

    She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert L Stevens of Oakdale Nursing Home West Boylston. Mr and Mrs Stevens would have celebrated their 53rd anniversay in August.

    Mrs Stevens also leaves behind, six children: Gary Stevens of Griffin, NC; Carol Collins of Zebulon, NC: Cindy Bosse of North Brookfield, Barbara Stevens of Three Rivers; Ann Marie Young of Westminster; and Gloria Kalilainen of Spring Hill, TN. She also leaves 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

    Mrs. Stevens was the oldest daughter of 21 children, born in Worcester and lived most of her life in the Worcester area before getting married and moving to Barre.

    Marjorie worked at the Barre Wool Combing Co., Romar Tissue where she met her husband Robert, and Rutland Heights Hospital until she retired.

    Burial will be be a private ceremony. There will be a memorial service, held at Redemption Rock Church, 3 Hagar Park Rd. in Westminster, MA June 7th at 2:00 PM, with a cookout celebrating the life of Marjorie at Barre Falls Dam, following the service.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gideons International, PO Box 140800, Nashville TN 37214-0800.

    Pillsbury Funeral Home of 96 South Barre Road, Barre, is assisting the family with arrangements.
