Subscription Update Obituary

    Marion T. (Ashe) Lawson, 97, of Spring Tide Lane, Eastham, formerly of Paxton, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester after an illness.

    Her husband of 59 years, James M. Lawson, died in 2000. She leaves a son, James M. Lawson Jr. of Cotuit; three daughters, Anne T. Lawson of Port Charlotte, FL, Mary V. Donahue of Franklin and Kathleen F. Martel of Holyoke; a sister, Anna Ashe of Worcester; four grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.

    She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Francis T. and Anna T. (McDermott) Ashe and lived in Paxton before moving to Cape Cod in 1985. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans, and loved to spend time with her family.

    The funeral for Marion will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 23rd, with an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Ave., Paxton. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association , 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
