Subscription Update Obituary

    Marilyn Faye (Lusby) Flynn, beloved mother and grandmother, 84, of Charlton, died Friday, July 10th in the Radius Health Care Center of Worcester.

    She leaves two sons, Dennis P. Flynn and his wife Charlene of Oxford and Kevin M. Flynn and his wife Rosemary of Charlton; two daughters, Joyce M. Pierce and her husband M. Daniel of Norton and Patricia A. Wilson and her husband Kenneth of Charlton, with whom she lived; ten grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Her brother, Harold Lusby, predeceased her. Mrs. Flynn was born in Beverly, the daughter of Royal and Mary Agnes (Choate) Lusby. She was a graduate of the former High School of Commerce. Mrs. Flynn was one of the first women to work for the United States Postal Service in Worcester as a clerk for 20 years until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed needlework, crossword puzzles, and trips to Foxwoods. Mrs. Flynn especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

    The funeral is Tuesday, July 14th with a service at 10:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, July 13th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Radius Health Care Center-Patient Activities Fund, 119 Providence Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
