Marie Y. (Ouellette) Plante, 74, of Paxton, formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, August 24, in Providence Care Center, Worcester, after a short illness.

She leaves her husband of 53 years, E.A. John Plante; three daughters, Jacqueline M. Gatchell of West Millbury, Janet M. Perez and her husband Albino of La Otto, Ind., and Joy M. Plante and her companion Margaret A. Endicott of Annandale, Va; three sisters, Anita Fournier and Viola Pietrowicz, both of Worcester, and Antoinette Allen of Webster; three grandchildren, William P. Gatchell, Tina M. Hobin, and Johnna M. Gatchell; a great-grandson Raymond Hobin III; nephews and nieces. Her son, John M. Plante of Paxton, died last year. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Florine (Malhoit) Ouellette, and lived there before moving to Paxton in 1989.

Mrs. Plante was a member of St. Peter’s Church and a former member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, both in Worcester.
