Subscription Update Obituary

   Marie R. Thomas Carr, 79, of 3471 W. San Salvodor, Lantana, FL passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She has joined her first husband, Edward E. Thomas, who passed in 1981 and her second husband, Edmund G. Carr, who passed in 2001, in a better place. Marie was also preceded in death by her brothers, Leo Thibault, Martin “Mickey” Thibault and Christy “Sonny” Thibault. She was born in Spencer, MA, daughter of William and Christie Carpenter Thibeault and graduated from David Prouty High School in 1945 and from Hahnemann School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Marie lived and worked in Worcester most of her life, retiring in 1981, relocating to Lantana, FL in 2007 due to her illness.

   She is survived by her family, who meant everything to her which include 6 children, John E. Thomas of Lantana, FL, whom she lived with and Richard E. (Pauline) Thomas of Auburn, MA, Sheryon (Vincent) LaTour of Boynton Beach, FL, Nancy (John Jr.) Garrahie of Davenport, FL, Linda (Roosevelt, Jr.) Crosland of San Diego, CA and Betty Anne (Andrew) Reed of Lantana, FL, whom she lived with; 7 stepchildren; 1 brother, William “Kelly” (Francis) Thibeault, Jr. of Spencer, MA; 1 sister, Majorie Coates of Pacifica, CA; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and many friends and acquaintances.

   A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA. “Marie has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed!”

   Morin-Morrison Funeral Home, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing arrangements.
