Marguerite S. “Meg” (Johnson) Morin, 91, of Auburn, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Saint Vincent Hospital ,Worcester, following a brief illness.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Victor O. Morin in 1996.

She leaves her three children; Patricia M. Boss and her husband Leon of Auburn, Rebecca S. Austin and her husband John of Oakham, and Victor S. Morin and his wife Joyce of Sparta, TN; her sister, Thelma D’Amelio of Port St. Lucie, FL; her seven grandchildren, Sheila, Patty, Chris, Junior, Becky, Cheryl and Michael; and her six great grandchildren, Samantha and Justin, Michael, Aspen and Arienna, and Taylor; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother William and her sister Elizabeth.

Marguerite was born and raised in Milford, a daughter of the late William and Ethel (Chase) Johnson. She has lived in Auburn for 64 years. She graduated from Milford High School, and later worked for many years as a seamstress for the R.J. Toomey Company, Worcester, creating clothing for the local clergy.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Morin family on Friday, November 11th from 6-8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A prayer service honoring “Meg’s” life will be held on Saturday, November 12th at 10 AM in the funeral home, followed by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

Instead of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association , 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to the Alzheimer’s Association , 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
