Subscription Update Obituary

     Margaret P. (Best) Ekberg, 76, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
     Margaret “Peggy” leaves her husband of 55 years Raymond P. Ekberg; a daughter, Pamela J. LeClaire and her husband, Scott of Douglas; a son, William J. Ekberg of Tampa Bay, FL; seven grandchildren, Allan, Becky, Michelle, William Jr, Jessica, Jared, and Nolan; three great grandchildren, Emily, Ben, and Noah. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Mary (Chenette) Best and a brother, Charles Lovejoy.
     Peggy was a dedicated wife to her Air Forces Veteran husband, traveling with him to many states during their 20 years of service. Peggy was a dedicated mother and grandmother, an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and throughout her years she enjoyed watching her family play in their sporting events. She was very proud of her family and took great care of all of them.
Peggy worked for a short time at Big D super market in Worcester, where she kept close with many friends.
     Peggy’s funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 2nd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will follow the service at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 1st in the funeral home.
