Subscription Update Obituary

Margaret “Peg” (Cyronek) Alex, 95, passed away December 14, 2006. Her husband, John Alex passed in 1985.

She is survived by her son John Alex and his wife Kathleen of Putnam CT, her daughter in law Mary ” Ginny ” Alex of Grafton, 5 grandchildren, Karen Remillard, Lisa Cosenza, Stephen, Christopher and Craig Alex, 9 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.

Mrs. Alex was born May 28, 1911 in Worcester the daughter of Vincenty and Agnes (Zawick) Cyronek. She was raised in Worcester, lived in Millbury for 39 years and Grafton for 18 years. Mrs. Alex was a stitcher and inspector at H.H. Brown Shoe Co. in Worcester for many years retiring in 1973. She was an active senior belonging to The Millbury Golden Age Club and it’s Sing Along Group, The Millbury Council on Aging, The Forest Lane Association in Grafton and she participated in many affairs at The Northbridge Senior Center. Her personal enjoyments included swimming, dancing, singing and playing bingo.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Alex Saturday December 16th at 11 a.m in St. Mary’s Church, 17 Waterville St. (Rt. 30) North Grafton. She will then be laid to rest with her husband in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. All are invited to visit with her family Saturday December 16th from 9 to 10:30 a.m in RONEY FUNERAL HOMES of GRAFTON, NORTH CHAPEL, 152 Worcester St. (Rt. 122 & 140) NORTH GRAFTON before her Funeral Mass. The family suggests memorial donations in lieu of flowers to Millbury Healthcare Center Activities Fund, 312 Millbury Avenue, Millbury 01527.
