Subscription Update Obituary

    Margaret (Paladino) Lovejoy, 83, of Worcester, died Friday, December 25th in Knollwood Nursing Center. Her husband and best friend of 60 years, Leonard C. Lovejoy, Sr. died in 2004.

    She leaves a son, Leonard C. Lovejoy, Jr. and his wife, Janice of Worcester; three daughters, Joanne Narva and her husband Kern of Rutland, Linda E. DesChenes of Hinsdale, NH and Gail M. Lovejoy of Worcester; two sisters, Elena, wife of Edmund Robertson of Auburn and Rose, wife of George Dangredo of Millbury, for whom she had a special place in her heart; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.

    Margaret was born in Worcester, the daughter of Michael and Ermalinda (Volpecelli) Paladino. She was a member of St. Paul's Cathedral. Margaret was a devoted mother, nana and great nana. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting and was the happiest when surrounded by her family.

    Her children would like to acknowledge the kindness and care shown by the staff of Knollwood Nursing Center, as well at the support and care from UMass Memorial Hospice.

    The funeral is Tuesday, December 29th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Paul's Cathedral, 15 Chatham Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, December 28th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Knollwood Nursing Center, 87 Briarwood Circle, Worcester, MA 01606 or to the UMass Memorial Hospice, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613.
