Margaret G. (Miller) Grout, 88, of Auburn died Friday September 6, 2013 in Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Worcester.
She is survived by a brother Howard W. Miller, sisters Alice D. Nobert and Jean E. Latti all of Auburn; step-sons Thomas M. Grout, and family of Shrewsbury, and James E. Grout and his family, of Loris, SC., and many, many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her husband Edwin J. Grout, a sister Lillian M. Miller, and brothers George W., Edward, Ernest, Walter and Richard Miller.
She was born in Auburn the daughter of the late Wendell G. and Annie M. (Carpenter) Miller.
Margaret worked at Hobbs Manufacturing and Standard Paper. She previously worked at Dino’s Restaurant in Worcester.
Margaret was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church, who enjoyed participating in church functions, especially the “Fair” and peeling apples for the Pastor’s famous “Strudel”. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, and friends who will greatly miss her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 6-8 PM Wednesday September, 11, 2013 in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM in the Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Ave., Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
