Subscription Update Obituary

Margaret E. (Farrar) Teschner Richardson, 90, of 70 Briarwood Circle, passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side on Saturday, June 25, 2011.

She leaves two sons, Charles Teschner III of Tennessee and Craig Teschner of Connecticut; two daughters, Susan T. Gaudette of Worcester and Anne Teschner of Florence; two step-sons, Philip Richardson of Rutland and Donald Richardson of Spencer; a step-daughter, Nancy Richardson of Spencer; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Reginald D. Richardson in 2008 and her first husband, Charles Teschner Jr. in 1975. She was born in Newport Center, Vermont, the daughter of Dalton E. and Anne M. (Mahood) Farrar and had lived in Worcester, Brookfield and Paxton before moving back to Worcester in 2009.

She graduated from Stevens High School in Claremont, NH in 1938 and Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester in 1942. Margaret was a nursing supervisor at Wayside Nursing Home in Worcester, retiring in 1970. She also was a registered nurse at Hahnemann Hospital and a private duty nurse. Mrs. Richardson was a member of the Paxton Congregational Church, the Paxton Senior Citizens, the Hahnemann Hospital Alumni and the Women’s Alliance at the Brookfield Unitarian Universalist Church.

A graveside service for Margaret will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 30th at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Central New England Chapter, 101A First Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451; or M.S.P.C.A., 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
