Subscription Update Obituary

    Marcella J. Pronto, 77, of 93 Fiskdale Road, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 30, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.

    Her husband of 58 years, Kenneth L. Sr. predeceased her in 2000. She leaves 5 children, Kenneth of Holland, James and Paul of Brookfield, and daughters, Patricia Smith of Spencer and Kimberly Chisholm of West Brookfield, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a sister, Shirley Hissem of West Brookfield and many nieces and nephews, among them a special niece, Sheila McCarthy.

    She loved to crochet, paint ceramics and was an avid reader. Marcella worked as a custodian for Brookfield Elementary School, for 25 years, retiring in 1998.

    The funeral service will be private for the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brookfield Emergency Squad, 6 Central St., Brookfield, MA 01506. Pillsbury Funeral Home, Rte. 9/Old West Brookfield Road is directing arrangements.
