M. Magdalene (Kenney) Clark, 90, formerly of 36 Iowa St., Worcester, died Friday, August 3, 2007, in the Lutheran Home of Worcester. Her husband Homer M. Clark died in 1981.
She leaves a son, Worcester Firefighter Michael M. Clark and his wife Deborah Clark of Jefferson; and three grandchildren. Her sister, Rita T. Kenney died in 1999 and her brother, John J. Kenney died in 1987.
Magdalene was born in Worcester, daughter of James and Mary (Collins) Kenney. She graduated in 1937 from Commerce High School and attended the Felt & Tarrants School of Comptometry.
She was a guidance and faculty secretary at Chandler Jr. High School for many years before retiring. Previously, she was on the staff at Burncoat High School and worked for the Division of Child Guardianship.
She was a member of Christ the King Church and its Social Club, and where she taught CCD many years ago. She was also a member of the Guild of Our Lady of Providence and the 39'ers Club at Coes Pond Village.
Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester are Tuesday, August 7 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
